Lead Veterinary Technicians

Step into a leadership role at VROC as a Lead Veterinary Technician, overseeing daily technical operations and guiding our skilled staff. You’ll drive excellence through training programs, manage essential inventory, and support outreach initiatives. Be at the forefront of veterinary care, ensuring our team delivers outstanding service and patient care.

  • Supervise daily technical operations of VROC including staffing of technical staff.
  • Oversee initial training of new staff and recurrent training of current LVTs, assistants and technicians.
  • Manage inventory for items pertaining to their department: orthopedic implants (surgical) or medications and general medical supplies (treatment) to optimize availability while minimizing overstock.
  • Support outreach programs for VROC such as rDVM communications with development of promotional materials.
  • Organize technical staffing for continuing education events in the Education Center.
  • Oversee the technical staff working in VROC on any given shift to ensure their work product adheres to our standards of excellence.
  • Assign technical staff daily responsibilities across all necessary roles within VROC.
  • Ensure timely training and progress for all VROC technical staff members.
  • Review any patient issues that come up within VROC at the moment to allow for expedient and satisfactory resolution.
  • Mediate technical staff conflicts to ensure patient safety and care is always prioritized.
  • Organize an agenda for VROC weekly technical meetings.
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT)
  • Preferred 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Superlative patient care standards, technical knowledge and client management skills.
  • Organized and able to multitask effectively.
  • Approachable and accountable leader.
  • On course to achieve VTS certification within 2 years of employment as VROC lead.
