Dr. Allman earned his veterinary degree from Texas A&M University and pursued further training through a 1-year internship at the University of Georgia, a surgical internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, and a 3-year surgical residency at Michigan State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Specializing in minimally invasive surgery and canine sports medicine, he completed his residency and became an assistant professor at Michigan State University, teaching the main surgery course.

Since 2012, he has owned and operated Mobile Veterinary Specialist in his hometown of Austin; a mobile team of specialist surgeons, who support vet clinics by giving them the opportunity to offer specialist orthopedic surgery to their clients in the comfort and convenience of their primary veterinary facility. Now partnering with nationally and internationally renowned board-certified veterinarian surgeons he has built and established the VROC specialty surgical hospital.

In his time out of the operating room, he can be found enjoying the great outdoors, and exploring Austin with his wife Summer and their five children.

Dr. Laurent Guiot is a world-class orthopedic surgeon inspired by his veterinarian and doctor parents. He earned his veterinary degree from the University of Liege in 2004 and completed a general internship there. After leading the general surgery program in Paris, he pursued advanced training at Michigan State University, becoming board-certified by both the American and European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2011.

Dr. Guiot has held prominent academic roles, including assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Michigan State and leading the creation of an orthopedic surgery facility at Ohio State University. He has since developed one of the most comprehensive total joint replacement programs in the world, pioneering and performing procedures like total elbow, hip, knee, and ankle replacements. At VROC, Dr. Guiot will serve as a traveling surgeon, consult on advanced cases, and establish the same top-tier total joint program.

Committed to the advancement of the veterinary orthopedic profession through education and the development of surgical techniques, Dr. Guiot has been nominated as a Founding Fellow in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He chairs the education committee of AO Vet North America, and presides over the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. He has published numerous scientific articles on veterinary orthopedics and regularly presents his work internationally.

Fluent in French, he enjoys piloting small aircraft, playing squash, and has a keen interest in classic foreign cars.

Dr. Bevan earned his veterinary degree from Texas A&M University, where he was admitted as the youngest applicant in the school’s history. He went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, followed by a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston. He then pursued advanced surgical training through a 3-year residency in small animal surgery at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Bevan has a clinical focus in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, rehabilitation, minimally invasive procedures, and regenerative medicine. He is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) and an active member of the AVMA, TVMA, and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society.

Before joining the team at VROC, Dr. Bevan spent over 15 years as a surgeon in Central Texas, where he became known for his commitment to excellence in patient care and surgical outcomes.

Originally from England, Dr. Bevan was raised in Dallas and now lives in Austin with his wife, their two daughters, and their dog, Scout. Outside the operating room, he enjoys running, surfing, snowboarding, cycling, and exploring the outdoors with his family.

Dr. Breiteneicher first discovered his passion for veterinary surgery early on, working as a veterinary assistant in Bethesda, Maryland at just fifteen years old. He earned his undergraduate degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech, then graduated summa cum laude with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

He completed a clinical internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Texas A&M University, where he remained to complete a rigorous 3-year surgical residency focused on orthopedic and neurologic surgery. He has contributed original research to the Journal of Veterinary Surgery and presented nationally at the Veterinary Orthopedic Society, including work on the Sliding Humeral Osteotomy.

Board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Breiteneicher’s clinical expertise centers on orthopedic and spinal procedures, including advanced fracture repair, arthroscopy, angular limb deformity correction, total joint replacement, and routine spinal decompression. He has a strong interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques and the integration of technology to enhance patient outcomes.

Prior to joining VROC, he worked as a staff surgeon at a multispecialty hospital in Austin before founding a surgical consulting practice, offering advanced orthopedic and spine procedures to specialty and academic hospitals nationwide. He is also active in continuing education, teaching advanced surgical labs and mentoring veterinarians across the country.

Dr. Breiteneicher lives in Austin with his wife and two daughters. Away from the hospital, he enjoys fly fishing, resistance training, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Ruben has been an integral part of the veterinary medicine community since 2010. With a background as a marine biologist and experience training marine mammals, he discovered his passion for veterinary medicine while founding animal husbandry programs alongside zoo veterinarians. Since then, Ruben has dedicated himself to mastering the veterinary profession, starting as a veterinary technician specializing in surgery and advancing into practice management and operational leadership.

His professional background spans diverse industries, including owning and operating a dive facility in Egypt, construction, and web development, experiences that continue to inform his systems focused, solutions oriented approach to veterinary leadership.

His deep compassion for all animals has driven him to lead teams in non profit shelter medicine and mobile specialty surgery, always striving for the best outcomes regardless of an animal’s background.

As one of VROC’s founding team members, Gabby brings over a decade of experience in veterinary surgery and leadership. When she isn’t at VROC, Gabby enjoys challenging herself with new skills and hobbies, playing video games, and spending time with her wife and pets. At VROC, Gabby is enthusiastic about supporting her team, patients, and clients through every step of their journey. Gabby’s passion lies in advanced orthopedics; particularly total joint replacements, CT, fluoroscopy-guided procedures, and other cutting-edge techniques. Gabby is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and compassion that elevates the experience for all and believes that great patient care starts with a collaborative approach. 

Kyle brings nearly ten years of experience in veterinary medicine and a strong passion for anesthesia and patient advocacy. He has worked in general practice, multispecialty, and emergency medicine, where he developed a focused interest in Fear Free care and effective pain management. He is currently pursuing his VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia. Outside of work, Kyle enjoys golfing and going to the gym. At VROC, he is committed to protecting patient comfort and advancing high-quality anesthetic care.

Amy is a dedicated Doctor Assistant with a strong background in veterinary care and client support. Before joining VROC, she served as a manager at the Austin Zoo and worked as a Rehab Technician at CTVSEH, where she later spent five years as Dr. Bevan’s assistant. Amy brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to her work, helping both pets and their owners feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout their care journey. She is committed to creating an exceptional experience for every client and values respect, communication, and empathy in all interactions. Outside the clinic, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, her dog Valentine, and cat Panda. She loves being creative, especially when planning themed events like “Taste the Movie” nights and also enjoys geocaching adventures with her family.

Brandon joined VROC following several years in specialty medicine, where he developed a strong interest in complex surgical procedures and advanced orthopedic care. His professional focus lies in supporting patients through all stages of joint replacement surgery and contributing to their return to pain-free mobility. Outside of work, Brandon enjoys attending live music performances, volunteering with wildlife, exploring the outdoors, and caring for his diverse menagerie of pets. He is proud to be part of a team recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation in veterinary orthopedics.

Damaris Vicente brings more than a decade of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in specialty, emergency, and critical care. She is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician license through Purdue University’s distance learning program and values the collaboration and calm focus of overnight medicine. Damaris is dedicated to ensuring every patient is comfortable and pain-free before and after surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys gothic literature, classic horror, and quiet evenings reading with her cat, Harry Potter. She finds beauty in the calm of the night and takes pride in knowing that even in the darkest hours, her patients are never alone.

Ethan joined VROC after two years of working in veterinary surgery, where he fell in love with the fulfillment that surgery brings. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and hiking with his Coonhound, Ace, whom he met while working for the veterinary school at Texas A&M. Ethan’s favorite aspect of working at VROC is being a part of the continuing education events for veterinarians to continue to learn and practice new skills. He loves being part of a team that prioritizes pushing cutting edge medicine and the expansion of medical resources that are attainable for pets.

Since she was 8 years old, Jade was always passionate about caring for animals, and has been on her journey to become a veterinarian. Coming from a general practice as the lead surgery technician, she was eager to expand her skills and knowledge by going into speciality; striving to one day become an orthopedic surgeon herself. In her free time, Jade is often found crafting, enjoying various horror media, thrifting with friends, and spending time with her family; including Mimi, her husky, and black cat named Branch.

Shelby came to VROC with seven years of clinical experience split between General Practice and Emergency and Critical Care. On the treatment floor Shelby ensures all our patients in for consultations and rechecks receive the imaging and lab work required to set them up for the best outcomes from surgery and through their recovery. She is passionate about learning and excited about orthopedic medicine, patient advocacy and delivering consistent, compassionate care fuled by a lifelong love for animals.

Stella loves being part of a team that helps pets get back on their paws. She brings a strong background in emergency and critical care, with skills in anesthesia, patient stabilization, and surgical support. Known for her caring nature and steady focus in high-pressure situations, Stella strives to make every patient’s experience as safe and comfortable as possible. When she’s not in the surgery suite, Stella enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her three dogs — Sierra, Reji, and Coco.
