Veterinary Treatment Technician

Become a vital part of VROC as a Veterinary Treatment Technician, where you’ll manage outpatient communications, assist surgeons during consultations, and ensure seamless patient care. You’ll prepare surgical quotes, guide clients through procedures, and maintain the highest standards of care in a supportive and innovative setting.

  • Oversee all outpatient communications and interactions.
  • Collate and summarize rDVM patient history and records for veterinarians.
  • Assist the surgeons on receiving day to conduct consultations and physical exams.
  • Maintain superlative care and client communication throughout all patients’ stay.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and▹ maintain accurate medical records.
  • Utilizes Ezyvet to document surgeons’ consultation findings, diagnoses and action plans.
  • Prepare quotes and verify invoices for proposed procedures.
  • Clearly communicate expectations and requirements for surgery to clients before, during and after procedures.
  • Ensure all pre-operative procedures and tests are conducted including collection of  diagnostic imaging – radiographs and CT scans.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Place catheters, administer induction anesthesia, intubate animals and monitor patients’ core vitals prior to surgery.
  • Assist in preparing animals for surgery prior to moving into the operating room.
  • Assist in monitoring animals during anesthesia recovery.
  • Assist kennel personnel in keeping patients clean and dry at all times.
  • Preferred 4 years of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician.
  • Strong understanding of veterinary medicine and patient record keeping standards.
  • Compassionate and effective client management skills.
  • Excellent patient care standards and advanced technical skills
  • Ability to handle animals with competence.
  • Articulate written and verbal skills.
